Caius Cast!

Let the headlines go crazy once more! Jamie Campbell-Bower, a 20-year-old British actor, has been officially cast for New Moon for the role of Caius, a rival and tormentor of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. And Jamie also can now give RPattz a run for his new money, fame, and the teen heartthrob department, although with the similar Pattinson modesty, he swears otherwise: "I doubt I'll get the same sort of adulation as Robert, but it's always nice when people recognize you for your work."

Jamie is best remembered for his role in Sweeny Todd in 2007 along side Johnny Depp. He also appeared in RockNRolla directed by Madonna's ex-husband, Guy Ritchie.

Bower recently confirmed his signing for the role of Caius to BBC News and said that the movie is “very exciting" and that he will be on-set in June. His role as Caius, is an integral role in New Moon that should give him some much-coveted screen time alongside Rob and Kristen. Caius is one of the leaders of an Italian coven of vampires, the Volturi that threaten the Cullen family and Bella Swan.

"I do know who else will be in it, but I can't tell you, unfortunately,” Jamie said. "But go online and have a look at the rumors. They're all false. You're putting me in a terrible situation." Jamie also admitted that until Twilight cam out that "I hadn't read the books before. But it's a great thing to be a part of, and it did very well last year."

New Moon Trailer

While there are numerous fan made trailers floating around the great expanse we call the Internet there is one fan made trailer TwilightBlog.net would like to recognize. Below is an amazing piece of work from a Twilight fan and we hope you all enjoy as much as our staff did.

Let us know what you all think!

Kristen's Week

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has always found her way into the hot bed of back-lashes. Certainly lately though she has been through her fair share, hasn't she? The subject of flood like ridicule from numerous sources (one which tactlessly used profanities in describing her personality). However, while her fame sky rockets faster than Edward can run, Kristen Stewart deserves for us to see a different side to her fame for this week.

Stewart has her newest film, Adventureland, hitting the theaters this week, April 3, and is being anxiously awaited by her fans. In the film, Kristen plays a wayward introvert who is the unlikely capturer of the heart of a want-to-be traveler stuck in what the film tag states to be "the worst job . . . ever imagined" which becomes "the best time of [the characters'] lives."

"I never met a terribly introverted and damaged girl at a theme park in the '80's," Kristen stated. "I like characters that are written that are whole, that doesn't feel like…[where] it's easy to tell what would be right and wrong and how they would feel about something because they're very defined."

Hopefully Kristen will be allowed one week that is not riddled with criticism (at least the nonconstructive, unfounded, and unnecessary criticism). Here in this short interview is Kristen talking about her walking back into the shoes of Bella in New Moon and how New Moon will carry a different personality from Twilight.

Why is Rosalie Eating??

What is going on? Rosalie, the supposed Vampire and drinker of blood... is eating. Did any of you ever catch this? What does it mean? Is Rosalie faking it? Is she not really a Vampire? I'm afraid she's been an impostor this WHOLE time...

Shirtless Lautner

With his nearly 30lbs of newly packed on muscle 17-year old Lautner has been the hott topic of the majority of Twilighters. And fellow stars Ashley Greene didn’t have to use the intuitive powers of her Twilight character, Alice Cullen, figure out the duh that fans are ready to see Taylor Lautner shirtless in his numerous scenes in upcoming New Moon.

“I was in the makeup trailer and I looked over as he was taking his shirt off and said to him, ‘You’ve got to be joking!’” Ashley recalls. “He looks fantastic. The girls are going to be satisfied, let me tell you!”

So how many of you are just dying to see how much Lautner will get to show off his new physique in New Moon? Taylor is expected to be the lead throughout most of the movie so girls, I think you're dreams/fantasies/hopes will come true.

Also, don't forget Ashley is being a spokesperson for Donate My Dress, a charity where teens can donate a gently used prom dress for a girl in need to a Saks Fifth Avenue store through March 31 and in return receive a store discount.

Stewart to the Rescue

How much protection security is Robert Pattinson really under? With the horrors of old stalkers following other celebrities like Shawn Johnson RPattz is really having his back watched. While no Twilighters are expected to get even close enough to Robert while filming New Moon, fans certainly instantly mass surrounding the star.

Fans are divided on respecting Rob's talent as an actor and his rugged good looks while others are just outrageous Twilight fans and are looking forward to New Moon. With today's fans and the ability for information to leak out on the world wide web
it is best to keep a tight security around the big stars. How serious is security? Apparently they want to be absolutely certain of Robert's safety.

It is being reported that the studio is taking precautions to keep RPattz safe have brought in Canadian Mounties to aid in their task. Is it overkill? "It was an unusual mission, but our remit was to keep the fans off the set," one of the constables said to reporters.

He then later revealed one of the tactics they used to keep a group of teen girls off the star. After some persistent Twilight crazed fans were given the boot to get off the set the Canadian Mounties had Kristen Stewart swoop on in and save the day by smooth
ing things over with the fans. Thanks to Stewart Robert can elegantly remove himself from star struck fans.

He doesn't really smell...

Lately, rumors have been spreading all over the Internet that Robert Pattinson HATES showering and smells horrible. Well, turns out it's all made up... and Pattinson hasn't even been on the New Moon set yet! Check out the following!

Interviewer: Is it true that, I don't know if you saw this, but a source on the set of 'New Moon' said that you don't smell good, that you don't shower?

Robert: I haven't even been on the set yet!

Interviewer: You know the same thing went around about Zac Efron a while ago; that he doesn't shower.

Robert: Really? He looks like he smells really good [laughs]. I also do shower.

Nikki Reed Hates Kristen Stewart

Nikki Reed New MoonNot really.

But, the two real-life best friends don't exactly see eye to eye in New Moon; Nicole said, "Rosalie feels really strongly about her hatred for Bella. It's bizarre. Obviously, we can do it because it is acting. But it is really funny."

Nikki returned to the set in Vancouver this week to begin filming New Moon.

It's not all fake hostility, though. The two up and coming actresses just returned from a vacation to Africa and plan to return and film K-11 together between New Moon and Eclipse.

"Kristen's my best friend," Nikki said. "I get to work on a set with really wonderful people and really creative people, and there are a million people in the world that have read this series and love the series. I get to be with my best friend. I can't think of anything better."

Sadly, though, Reed will not be reunited with Thirteen and Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke (two films in which Reed starred).
Nicole Reed New Moon
However, Miss Reed is not too distraught: "There is no better guy [than Weitz] for this film," she said. "And I'm sure I'll work with Catherine in the future."

"[Twilight] was such a unique experience, because we had such a large cast and we didn't really know if we were going to make sequels — we weren't expecting the kind of success that the film had. But we've all remained really good friends."

Nicole Reed New Moon"As an actor, you always feel heartbroken when you leave a project, because it is this really unhealthy tug-of-war. You get really close, and then you get separated and most likely you'll never see your cast members again unless it's at an event years down the road. And [then] it's like, 'Hey, how are you?,' and there's a big hug. But you have this nomadic [quality to life]; you're never really in the same place, so it's hard to bond.

"We've all bonded. We're excited to see each other again."

Of course, New Moon is going to be darker than Twilight. But don't think that because of that it's going to lose any of its humanity. Nicole was quick to remind us that her character's tumultuous relationship with Bella stays the same.

"Obviously, Rosalie hates her in [New Moon]," Nikki said with a smile. "Hopefully, we don't laugh too much while we are making it."

'Twilight' Comes To Life? Vampire Rumors

Twilight.... a reality? Posted on MTV.com:

In Stephenie Meyer's imagination, Forks High School is a bustling place where students go to classes and proms, oblivious to the fact that handsome-but-deadly bloodsuckers walk amongst them. But could Edward and the other Cullens really be hanging out these days at one of America's oldest high schools? Or are the students similarly letting their imaginations run wild?

On Wednesday, police were called to Boston Latin School, a nearly 400-year-old public school whose prestigious alumni include Ben Franklin, Sam Adams, John Hancock and Sumner Redstone. The reason? Rumors were running wild that the school had been infiltrated by vampires.

"I seek your cooperation in redirecting your energy toward the learning objectives of the day. Please do not sensationalize or discuss these rumors," pleaded the school's headmaster, Lynne Mooney Teta, in a notice sent to faculty, students and parents on Thursday (March 26) addressing "rumors involving 'vampires.' "

According to The Boston Globe, gossip recently began spreading throughout the high school that vampires were at Boston Latin. The headmaster issued the notice after becoming concerned that some students' safety might be jeopardized, particularly if they were accused of being members of the undead.

"I'm not sure whether [the supposed vampires] were among the student body or whether they were inhabiting the old corners and crevices of the building," Officer Eddy Chrispin, a Boston Police spokesman, said after police went to the school Wednesday. "We did go over there and speak to some of the students and quelled the rumors that were going and kind of told them the effect those rumors could have on the rest of the student population."

Whether the supposed vampires are as good-looking as Edward, Rosalie and the other Cullens remains to be seen, but this much is certain: With "Twilight" selling more than 3 million DVDs in one day and midnight DVD-release parties occurring all over the country, there are a lot of bleary-eyed Twilighters out there who might have watched a few too many deleted scenes.

Then again, in Meyer's books, the Cullens had to move to new high schools frequently, perpetually reinventing themselves as students since their looks were frozen in time. And since it is a gloomy, overcast time of the year in Boston right now ... nah.

Robert Pattinson Talks About New Moon

Robert Pattinson Talks New MoonIf you're excited for New Moon (and who reading this site isn't?) You'll definitely be interested in what Robert Pattinson had to say regarding the Twilight sequel. He wants to let all the fans to be ready for something different and perhaps a slightly weird.

Of course as we all know, Pattinson became an overnight sensation playing a lovestruck vampire in the film that generated $373.4 million from global box offices, and he is in Vancouver, Canada, this week starting production on the film New Moon.

If you just can't wait 'til November, be sure and check out Little Ashes, a film in which Pattinson plays eccentric painter Salvador Dali which opens in art houses May 8th.

And now on to his quote. Pattinson had this to say:

"The book of New Moon, the majority of it is incredibly depressing," Pattinson said. "Obviously Twilight was about finding first love and the difficulties of that, but New Moon is really about loss and reconciliation, but the reconciliation isn't completely full."

"It's a strange story to have for a market that, I guess, wants to see a love story," he added.

"It's turned into this crazy situation. I guess it has become a sort of phenomenon now which I really, really didn't expect," Pattinson said.

To feel "normal" again, Pattinson will often escape to one of his favorite past times: music. He plays guitar and piano, and his song "Never Think" made it onto the Twilight soundtrack.

As of this writing, Pattinson states there are no plans to put his music on New Moon but he has become "obsessed" with composing songs.

"I like any job where you can just shut yourself away from everybody," he said.

Taylor's Werewolf Pack

It has officially been announced who the members of Taylor Lautner's werewolf pack will be for upcoming sequel New Moon. From Stephenie Meyer's website here is an excerpt:

..."Summit Entertainment announced today that Native American/First Nation actors Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman have signed on to star as the members of the wolf pack in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. In the film, the wolf pack defends humans against vampires although they have a tribal history intricately entwined with Edward Cullen and his family. The wolf pack members will join Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and fellow wolf pack member Taylor Lautner in the film directed by Chris Weitz which will be released domestically November 20, 2009.

Each member of the wolf pack is of Native decent. Spencer is Lakota (Sioux), Pelletier is Cree-Metis, Meraz is Purepecha (Tarasco), Gordon is Hualapai, and Houseman, who was discovered at an open casting call, is Cree. Casting of the wolf pack was overseen by award-winning casting director Rene Haynes who is well-known for her work on Native projects ranging from Dances with Wolves to Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee..."

Now we no longer have to wonder about whether director Chris Weitz was going to be true and give Native Americans the parts of the werewolf pack. Their due has been given! All of this new publicity with give these newbies a glorious chance in the spotlight as they have a once in a lifetime chance to prove themselves in front of the whole world. Good luck guys!

Gummy Bears & Getting Girls

Apparently not only Taylor Lautner has been bulking up and becoming muscle man for the upcoming New Moon. Kellan Lutz is in the running for the best new muscle pack.

Kellan who plays vampire Emmett Cullen told Ryan Seacrest that he got his "eight-pack" because “I love to swim. I have a pool in my backyard.”

Now all of this working out has had no effect on his candy addiction and the stash he has in his drawers:

“I have a candy drawer and I’m terrible with it,” he said. “Gummy bears, gummy worms, chocolate, everything. I eat so much.”

When asked why his on-screen brother Edward Cullen played by Robert Pattinson gets all the ladies Kellan was quick in his answer:

"His accent and his crazy hairdo gets the girls swooning. I don’t have those locks. Rob’s kind of shy,” he added. “ He’s such a humble guy, it’s hitting him hard." With the stars of Twilight getting an all time popularity high the need for a change of lifestyle is harder for some than others.

When asked about working with new director Chris Weitz Lutz had this to say:

“Working with Chris Weitz and being with the cast again, it’s great. We did rehearsals all last week.”

Have you seen it yet??

Has anyone watched the Twilight Blu-ray with the deleted scenes and hilarious commentary? Post your comments here! What did you think? Was it what you expected? Better? Worse?

We plan on watching the Blu-ray tonight (not sure if we'll listen to the commentary or not -- what do you guys think? Worth it?)

Greetings From Vancouver

Here is a video released recently starring the cast of Twilight saying hello to fans and promoting the release of Twilight out on DVD today.

"Greetings from beautiful Vancouver," starts off Taylor Lautner. Present in the video are Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Rachelle Lefevre (who supposedly has redder hair), and Ashley Greene. Kristen states that she is very excited for the cast to be back together and Robert Pattinson says that they are in Vancouver beginning to film "as you all know." This time around the cast understands the mass following of their roles in the Twilight Saga and now their actions show this new change.

Exit Edward Enter Action

Edi Gathegi talked to MTV reporters earlier this week to comment on the filming of the upcoming Twilight movie, New Moon. "I'm going up to Vancouver for some preproduction stuff and rehearsals. The entire cast is going to be up there," said the actor. "We're going to be doing a whole bunch of fun stuff. I've read the script — it's very good," Gathegi explained while praising the talents of returning screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. According to Gathegi the script compared to Stephenie Meyer's 563-page novel is "a lot more active — in the best possible way — than I thought it was going to be."

Although New Moon is brimming with failed romance, depression, and thoughts of suicide, and life altering situations, Gathegi insisted that the second story is better because anticipation becomes reality. "I'm actually one of the people that think that 'New Moon' is pretty active. There's a fraction of people who think it's slow because [Edward Cullen] is gone for a long time, and [Bella] is going through depression — but I think it's more active than 'Twilight,' " he stated. "In 'Twilight,' it's the anticipation every day. The anticipation of 'What is he?' And then you discover what he is. 'New Moon,' I think, has a little more forward movement; which is great for a movie. And I love what I get to do in it," he saiwhile sporting a wicked grin. "I definitely get to sink my teeth into something."

Edi Gathegi also talked about his pledge with fellow actor Taylor Lautner to hit up the gym for New Moon: "He does not let up. I ask, 'What do we do?' [and he replies] 'Everything! The whole routine,' " Gathegi said of their regimen. "I could say that he's definitely one of the most committed people that I have ever seen at the gym. I think I might have been like him when I was younger — I go off and on, even right now. This kid just stays at the focus point. [Lautner] does free-weights: bi's, tri's, shoulders, legs," Gathegi marveled. "He's ready [to play the older Jacob Black]. His job depends on it, and he has to be this way and get bigger for the rest of the series. I mean, this kid is incredible!"

The biggest news for Gathegi these days, however, is that the movie version of Laurent won't go down without a fight. "[In the novel] they talk about me getting chased and destroyed by the werewolves — and in the movie, we'll see what they have me do," he revealed cryptically. "We might show it."

MTV Interviews Kristen!

And we have it all right here for you!

MTV: Kristen, the web was recently flooded with photos of you in Vancouver, doing pre-production for "New Moon." What did you see up there that convinced you the sequel will be even better than "Twilight"?

Kristen Stewart: Everything! We're sort of revamping. The look of the vampires has gotten that much better — now they just look clean and crisp. They're beautiful, really. We've had all of our rehearsals, it's pretty much done — all of the prep for the script, it's solid. There's no more work to be done, whereas a lot of times you'll be on a movie and you scramble the night before and make sure everything's done, and then you lose sequence of the whole thing because you don't shoot in order. We're set! It feels so good.

MTV: Was it a shock for you when Catherine Hardwicke left the franchise?

Stewart: Well, it wasn't like it was a big bomb that was dropped. It wasn't much of a shock. To be honest, I don't know much about the inner-workings of whatever was going on within the studio, [but] everybody has creative integrity and everybody has to be on the same page when you're making a movie.

MTV: The fans know that the entire "Twilight" team was close and worked so well together, and the success of the film proved that. With new director Chris Weitz, do you ever have thoughts of, "Why are they putting in a new coach now?"

Stewart: To be honest, I don't know — I don't run studios. It was definitely both of them [agreeing to part], it was Catherine [Hardwicke] and Summit agreeing it was the best thing to do. It wasn't like, 'You're fired!' It was a comfortable situation. And Chris is like the most genuinely invested guy — he didn't just jump on the bandwagon and be like, 'Ooh, let's get the biggest, most successful movie! I wanna do "Twilight 2"!' He genuinely likes it, and is entirely involved. He's a really sweet guy, and we're all really excited to work with him. I like his previous work too, so it all just works out.

MTV: Recently I was interviewing Kellan Lutz and he thinks the "only women should direct 'Twilight' movies" argument is overblown. Going from Hardwicke to Weitz, would you like to go back to a woman for "Eclipse"? Or do you also think it doesn't matter?

Stewart: I really don't know. I've worked with a lot of male directors, and a lot of females — every single one of them has been entirely different from each other. They're individual people. It's, like, there's a technical aspect that Chris — individually as a person — is good at. He has the whole ['New Moon'] project in mind; he's very good, his thoughts are organized, and he's gonna make a good movie while not losing the soul and depth and what's going on with the characters. He's very genuine and giving, and he makes me feel very comfortable. I mean, I can talk to him about anything. So it's perfect, and I'm excited to work with him.

MTV: But Chris won't be returning for "Eclipse." So, if they went female for the third film, would that impact it in anyway?

Stewart: I can't think of a direct effect of having a female or a male director. I could speak specifically about Catherine, Chris or ["Cake Eaters" director] Mary Stuart [Masterson]. I could speak about people that I know and that I've grown to care about — but I don't think it's about them being a girl or a boy.

MTV: Well, as you know, rumor was that Drew Barrymore could be the "Eclipse" director. What are your thoughts on her?

Stewart: I like her as an actor. I've never spoken to her. I know that she made that movie ["Whip It!"] recently that I haven't seen. I don't know; I really admire her as an actress, and she's been in [Hollywood] for so long — I'm sure she's very smart and interesting.

MTV: And now the musical chairs continue, with the rumor that Juan Antonio Bayona is supposed to direct the third film. What are your thoughts on him? Have you seen "The Orphanage"?

Stewart: Yeah, he's a very talented guy. I don't know. I'm so glad that I don't make these decisions, because it's such a tough one. How do you [decide that?]. I mean, sometimes it's a fluke — a guy makes a good movie. I mean, I'm sure [Bayona] is a great director. But nothing's solid, so I don't know. It's above me.

New Director for 'Eclipse'? WRONG!

With Chris Weitz unable to devote his full attention to the filming of Eclipse due to the time constraints rumors have abounded about new directors. First Drew Barrymore, then Hardwicke, then recently over the past few days-Juan Antonio Bayona. The Spanish protegee who directed The Orphanage. With all of these people sites of all sizes and popularity have claimed that they are all the new director and that Summit has offered them a job. WRONG!

Patrick Goldstein from the LA Times had lunch yesterday with Erik Feig, who is president of production at Summit and the man most involved with managing the hit series of films. When Goldstein told Feig of the new rumor over Bayona Feig was shocked to see the media reports saying Summit had hired Bayona, since -- ahem -- they’re not true. "The Eclipse directing job hasn’t been offered to Juan Antonio or anyone else," he told Patrick Goldstein. "We’ve met with three or four talented filmmakers and we’ll be meeting with three or four more other candidates before we make any decision. No one has been offered the job."

Feig also added that no one had even bothered to call to check out the rumors before printing them or blogging them. The all to common happenings of the insane entertainment coerages of today. "Nikki never called Summit or any of the producers, and Variety ran it off her blog without calling us either, which I find doubly irresponsible." (However, McNary did call Summit’s PR rep, who would not confirm the story.)

TwilightBlog.net stood watching as numerous blogs around us announced the falsehood that “It’s official, according to the trades, the filmmaker behind the hypnotic horror film, 'The Orphanage,' will be brought in for the third 'Twilight' film." Here at TwilightBlog.net we prefer to present our readers with just who is in the running, but we wont announce a winner until Summit official announces it themselves-not when idle gossipers blabber on because:

As it turns out, Bayona was in town and had a Wednesday meeting with Summit execs, who are probably beyond doubt impressed by his resume. Bayona also had to meet with Stephenie Meyer, who of course has a lot to say about any key creative choices made on each film in the series. And shockingly Bayona has told friends that he isn’t sure he wants to tackle the film. Though he also admires the series, he's concerned about how much creative involvement he would have coming in to direct Eclipse (a part in a series), where most of the casting and character development is already in place. Bayona would not have much room to make it his own and he does not know if he is up to that?

Does this sound like a man who is directing Eclipse?

So please-lets pay better attention to what we fall for in the entertainment news until it has been confirmed by the ultimate authority-the person themselves!

Good-Bye Bleach Hello Wigs

New Moon vampires will find themselves undergoing an extreme makeover. And actress Nikki Reed-Rosalie-told MTV reporters: "I think we are just perfecting it. I think it will be a little bit different, and we'll perfect it for the best."

It was no secret to fans and actors alike that the cast of
Twilight had struggled to perfect the hairstyles of the Cullen clan-which even enraged some Twilighters. So this time around with a new director and bigger budget, Nikki Reed said that new director Chris Weitz is determined to get things right.

"[My conversation with him] was revolving around the look of the Cullens; I don't know if we necessarily got it right the first time around," Reed explained. "We weren't expecting all the weather issues and all the makeup we had to put on. Every single character [had a hard time]. I know a lot of people think it was just
me that changed how I looked physically, but Peter Facinelli has black hair, and he has to go back blond [for 'New Moon']. And Kellan Lutz, who is a natural blond, has to go back to dark hair."

With the newly updated schedule of putting out two back-to-back
Twilight movie the cast is hoping to find the perfect balance in all of the makeup and hair processes. "We all had hours of hair and makeup in the morning, and then when we showed up on set, it was raining," she remembered of her experiences filming Twilight. "And because we are vampires, we can't shoot in the sun! So, we were always shooting when it was cloudy, and then there was hail, and the makeup was pouring off. It was an experimental process — now, I think, we are more prepared."

So this means that some Twilighters may notice Nikki Reed's plan
to wear a wig this time rather than dye her hair again. "My hair fell out," she winced. "It took 36 hours initially to make me blond, and every other day, I was bleaching my head and my skin. This time around, we are testing out different wigs and stuff."

Nikki Reed also wanted to remind fans that that the stars had tried more than humanly possibly to make their original hairdos and styles work. "I really wanted the fans to understand that I was dedicated, and I was going to do whatever I needed to do, even at the expense of going bald. But it was such a brutal process, plus we have a break in between where I have a couple of other projects. And then I go back to Rosalie. So I don't think I'm bleaching my hair this time. I know how upset everyone is going to be, but [my devotion to Rosalie] is why I did it initially. The goal is for something better, just better, all around better," she said of Weitz's upcoming attempt to give the Cullens an extreme makeover. "I think we are always striving to better ourselves. And the fact that we are all vampires in the first place ... of course we are going to look unnatural. [But in the first film], all of us looked unnatural."

So with filming having started some today in Vancouver expect some more wigs to appear adorning the heads of the cast as they desperately try to stay true to their characters and provide the best natural look that will but all Twilighters in awe.
