5 for 6 At MTV Awards

Twilight knocked most of the awards out tonight at the MTV Movie Awards! Out of the 6 categories (if you don't double count Breakthrough Male Performance with Robert and Taylor both nominated) it was nominated for, Twilight won 5 awards:

1)Best Fight-with Cam Gigandet and Robert Pattinson

2)Breakthrough Male Performance-Robert Pattinson (poor Taylor Lautner got beat. By a co-star too! Well, at least it stayed in the family)

3)Female Performance-Kristen Stewart

4)Best Kiss-Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart (hold still....)

5)Best Movie of the Year-nice big one!

However, Twilight lost in:

1)Best Song-Decode by Paramore (lost to Miley Cyrus??)

Seat Fillers

MTV has nominated some crazily intense Twilight fans to act as seat fillers at tonight's MTV Awards. Twilighters need no introduction to Bailey “NoMoreMarbles” Gauthier, or the Evil Iguana Team behind the popular Twilight Trailer Spoof. Bailey has this to say about their role are seat fillers.

"That’s right, when RPattz gets up to accept his awards (which he will be receiving, because I’ve voted every day) I’m going to fight the rest of the seat fillers off to keep that man’s seat warm. It will be amazing. I don’t care if my pals get stuck filling the back seats in the house, just so long as I get to share the seat of the hottest vampire this world has ever seen.

Yesterday, we got our first behind-the-scenes taste of the Awards, complete with an epic golf-kart ride around Universal. Whenever a tour group would pass by, we’d try to pretend we were famous - I am of the opinion that it worked. I think a group of tourists were convinced we were Paramore. Today we’re getting up to go check out the Gibson Amphitheatre, where the show will be taking place. I’m so stoked to see exactly where all the stars shall be seated, and possibly me in their place. I’ll spend a good portion of that tour trying to map out the quickest route to Rob Pattinson’s spot. I figure if I can out-maneuver the rest of my fellow fillers, his seat shall be mine! Oh it will be mine… don’t judge me."

The trio have just finished up filming in Montepulciano, Italy and that appears to conclude all filming for New Moon. The group is back in LA to attend the MTV Movie Awards that will air tonight.

Ashley Greene has now been spotted arriving on the set of New Moon in Italy. She is now ready to prep for some Alice Cullen action with that delicious yellow Porsche. This is the first time she has seen her outside of dining, swimming and socializing and been on set. An extra in Montepulciano tweeted that "Ashley is looking fabulous in big sunglasses & head scarf. Or his kisses really?...well two moms paid $28,000 each to earn kisses from vampire star Robert Pattinson at the Cannes auction last week. According to the moms they plan to let their daughters do the kissing. But wow! What mom pays enough money to buy a sweet car with to earn a kiss? Apparently those moms do. Maybe these moms are Twilight obsessed too.

The auction at Cannes Festival goes to benefiting AIDS research. Other ridiculous items at the auction included a saxophone signed by former president Bill Clinton and a striptease from actor Josh Hartnett. Yikes! At least all of this goes to a good cause, right? But really, $28,000?!?!?

Lunch in Italia

A trio from the New Moon cast of chicas had a quiet lunch together yesterday. Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, and Ashley Greene had a little bonding time over some red wine and authentic Italian cuisine at a restaurant in downtown Montepulciano.

Of course, as the girls tried to exit from their pleasurable lunch the the paparazzi had already surrounded the place to take picture of them. Kristen being true to form offered her one-figure salute to the paparazzi due to obvious annoyance of being hunted like a dog.

Italy, Sweet Italy

Well, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are both now in Italy awaiting the start of filming for New Moon and have been seen hanging around enjoying the Italian city of Montepulciano. The two have been to a delightful dinner at a restaurant in town with some of the crew and hanging out around the town.Shooting in Italy should only be for a few days and then the editing of the filming will begin so that the movie can hit theaters November 2009!

Forward, Ho!

This coming Tuesday the cast of New Moon will be heading to the tiny town of Montepulciano, Italy which has a population of only 14,000. With such a small town residents are sure have run ins with vampires and werewolves during the film's 4 day shoot. Now who wouldn't want to run into Robert Pattinson on the old romantic cobble-stoned streets? Also, locals had a chance to star with the stars in New Moon. Casting just finished for the locals of Montepulciano that was happening at the City Fortress.

This Tuscan town is famed for its food and wine which includes the local spin on spaghetti which features a thicker version of the pasta they call “pici.” Montepulcianowas founded in the 1500s and is full of beautiful cathedrals, churches, and architecture. Now the town will be able to sport the title of Volterra, for the rising Twilight saga.

New Moon Sneak-Peaks

Life & Style recently revealed a couple of spoilers or sneak-peaks for the upcoming New Moon so far. Some differences enhance the books while others, not so much.

1) Bella takes a more daredevil approach in the film, pushing fate in order to make Edward appear to her. While Bella does do some of this in the book, apparently she does it more so in the movie.

2) Since Robert Pattinson is what draws a lot of people to the Twilight saga movies filmmakers couldn't resist his draw. Instead of only being a voice in Bella's head he is more like an apparition (like Obi-Wan in Star Wars). Rob himself expressed his thoughts on this: "I really wanted it to be a complete absence. It’s easier to give it more power at the end if I’m completely absent."

3) When Laurent is destroyed by the werewolves in New Moon there isn't much of a fight due to his being out numbered. However, in the movie there will be an action-packed scene with Laurent fighting back against the werewolves.

4) At the end of New Moon Edward gives a sort of ultimatum if you will to Bella. In the book Edward says he will only turn Bella (into a vampire) if she marries him. The movie, not so much-apparently he others a slightly different ultimatum.

Rob Said It

Well, again, yet a second time Robert Pattinson has stated something about Breaking Dawn being produced. Yet this time, he said it a little differently: "I have committed to the fourth one, Breaking Dawn. But I don't know quite when Summit is going to shoot it because of my schedule."

Well honestly, Twis. We all knew they were going to make the movie, so nobody should be freaking out. While Summit has not officially announced anything, comments from actors like Rob keep us happy and at bay. Since we know Rob will be sticking around to play love struck vampire Edward Cullen we have no worries. Eventually Breaking Dawn will become a movie and Rob will be in it.

Yet we could be asking one question about Breaking Dawn becoming a movie: with 768 pages will it fit into one movie? Filmmakers now doing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows are in the same predicament and have decided to make two films out of the book. Will Breaking Dawn be forced to do the same or will the dilemma and need for non-aging vampires keep it to a single film that is short and sweet?

Asking unnecessary questions, being rude, and unable to stop calling her by somebody else's name-Ashley Greene handled it with amazing grace and deftness. I Think You'll Like It

Well, at least that what Peter Facinelli who plays vampire doctor Carlisle Cullen says. When he commented that he just finished New Moon he told fans "I think you'll like it." In his video Peter is very nonchalant and seems to be enjoying a little bit of down time even in what appears to be a hotel room.

Women & Fame [Rob's Life]

Robert Pattinson has made his way to the International Cannes Film Festival today. The infamous array of films and people attending this event is a big step in Rob's career.

Just arriving overseas RPattz was overwhelmed by the adoring fans and paparazzi upon landing and had to be helped through the terminal by airport staff.

Robert recently revealed to reporters that “it’s very uncomfortable [about meeting women]. If you try and chat people up, everyone’s like, ‘Oh, you probably go around sleeping with everybody.’ So it kind of has the converse effect of what you would have thought.”

RPattz then vigorously denied the continual reports about him and Kristen Stewart being an item: “No! She has a boyfriend. I don’t know where that came from."
