Sue Clearwateris a Quileute woman who lives on the La Push reservation. She is the mother of Leah and Seth Clearwater, and a widow since the death of her husband Harry Clearwater. Sue is also a good friend to Charlie Swan and Billy Black.

Early History

When her husband dies of a heart attack, he leaves her a widow, and in his place as a member of the tribal council. Sue attended Edward and Bella’s wedding with Billy and her son, Seth. Later on, both Seth and Leah run away to join Jacob’s renegade pack. Sue was heartbroken, but Jacob knew that she was very strong, and was not above playing her children’s sympathies if it meant they would return home.

Sue is also mentioned to be spending a lot of time with Charlie. She immediately takes on a caretaker role towards Charlie. Bella suspects they have started a romantic relationship.

Alex Rice wasborn on the Kahnawake Mohawk reserve in Quebec, Canada. She is perhaps best known for her recurring role as Jane Pete in the films Skinwalkers, Coyote Waits, and A Thief Of Time. She has appeared in other films including Lewis and Clark: Journey West, On The Corner, A Thousand Roads, the IMAX release of Sacajawea and The New World. She has also appeared on various television series including Spin, City, CIA, Strong, Medicines and The Sopranos.

She portrayed Sue Clearwater in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in 2010.
