The Denali Coven Has Been Cast!!!

And the news starts pouring in as October comes to a start. The Cullen's "extended" family, The Denali Coven, has been officially cast. Christian Camargo (The Hurt Locker, and Dexter) will be playing Eleazar, Myanna Buring will be portraying Tanya, Casey LaBow of CSY: NY will be playing Kate, and Mia Maestro has been cast as Carmen! Just a couple of days ago I posted that Maggie Grace will be playing Irina, so the gangs all here!

This is getting so exciting! I cannot wait for the news to keep flowing in! Summit has actually issued a press release so its for real people!

Summit Entertainment announced today the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Denali Coven as outlined below.

The Denali Coven is comprised of Christian Camargo (THE HURT LOCKER, Dexter) as Eleazar; Casey LaBow (Moonlight) as Kate; Mia Maestro (Alias, POSEIDON) as Carmen; MyAnna Buring (DOOMSDAY) as Tanya; as well as previously announced Maggie Grace (Lost, TAKEN) as Irina.

The Denali Coven is the only other “vegetarian” vampire coven in the world, considered cousins to the Cullens.

In a recent interview Kellan Lutz told E! Online " I love the way they're showing it. I really thought that was going to be a really tough thing to show." he was referring to the birth scene in "Breaking Dawn." He also added that he thinks Emmett Cullen should be in the background laughing and commented on when filming begins. " We start sometime in October and go all the way through to late April. I just did a wardrobe fitting and a contact lenses test."

Twilight was almost an Action Movie?

My Twi-Hearts, have you heard the latest gossip?

We are here today because we have fallen incandescently in love with the The Twilight Saga and the enviable romance between human, vampire and werewolf, right? Well, Twilight Producer Mark Morgan recently revealed that Paramount Pictures wanted to turn our beloved Twilight into an action movie! Can my Twi-Hearts believe this? It's true.

According to the interview with Hollywood Life, Mr. Morgan revealed that Paramount had originally been interested in releasing the franchise. And that as the script for Twilight was being shopped around Hollywood, Paramount was in talks of pulling a 180 and changing Twilight into an action movie.

However, and thank all goodness, Summit Entertainment eventually acquired the rights to our lovely story and stayed close to the Twilight source material. "It was a blessing that Summit chose to do the move, because frankly, Paramount would have chosen a different director. Their rewrite wasn't exactly like the book. I love Paramount, but I do not think they would have hired Catherine Hardwicke, our first director. They would have gone for someone bigger. Boys. More action." Mr. Morgan shared.

When Summit picked up The Twilight Saga, the move was a blessing since fans could have seen the FBI track down Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. "I mean, one of their drafts literally had a Korean FBI agent who was hunting and tracking vampires across the coast. There was SWAT in the trees and literally it was like, ‘Red leader, read leader one′, and the vampires were picking them out of the woods. It would have been a different movie."

Commenting on how the film would have been received had it departed from the original story of the relationship between our Edward and his Bella, Mr. Morgan said: "The fans would have killed us. They would have stoned us."

How about that, Twi-Hearts? Do you think Mr. Morgan is onto something? Would we have stoned to death the producers, writers, directors, maybe even actors, working on Twilight had it departed completely from the novel?

Good thing we do not have to find out, right?

BD Birth Scene..To be Gruesome, or Not to be Gruesome..

Kellen Lutz is excited about the way the birth scene in the up coming Breaking Dawn is set to be filmed he recently said in an interview with Eonline. According to Lutz, filming is set to begin sometime in October and go through April. In related news, Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg said to Eonline that she doesn't feel the birth scene necessarily needs to be gruesome. She feels Bella's perspective of the birth is what really should be portrayed. The anticipation grows with every second. I know we all CANNOT wait to see the final result!

Could the search for Renesmee finally be over? Entertainment Weekly has reported that 9 year old Mackenzie Foy could be playing the love child of Edward and Bella. She is still a newbie in the showbiz world tackling small roles on FlashForward and 'Til Death. I guess if you're looking for a starting point, Twilight is the way to do it!

Summit of course hasn't released anything official yet but they aren't denying it either. This little girl is absolutely gorgeous...I think the only better pick would be for Rob and Kristen to just have a kid of their own! Hey I'm down with that! I am so anxious to see how director, Bill Condon, handles all of the CGI with Renesmee's part.

And Let The Casting Begin!! Irina Has Been Casted

Its getting exciting folks! Casting announcements are starting to trickle out setting the pace for one of the most epic movies EVER! Deadline.com has reported that Maggie Grace will be playing Irina (you know the girl who almost single handily destroys the Cullens) in the upcoming Breaking Dawn. Maggie can be seen playing "Shannon" from the TV show Lost.

Irina is apart of the Cullen's "extended" family, the Denali Coven. We all know the story but she falls in love with Laurent and gets extremely pissed when the wolves kill him off. She is taken over by her rage and resentment that she goes seeking revenge and sees Bella and Jake playing with Renesmee and then goes to tattle to the Volturi. The Cullens were almost destroyed...so yeah ok I don't like her character at all :)

As far as her physical presence, I think this was a wise casting decision. This girl is gorgeous. I do not really know a lot about her acting but any woman can play an angry chic with a death grudge...

Bronson Pelletier Says The Wolfpack Sticks Together

Maximo TV caught up with Bronson Pelletier (Jared) and tried to get the inside scoop about Breaking Dawn. According to Bronson, there really isn't a whole lot of info to dish, although he did confirm once again for us that there will be filming in Louisanna.

Bronson also discussed how his character takes a turn for the darker side. I like the idea of Jared being a little dark. When asked who his favorite Twilight cast member was all he could say was that he loved everyone but he was the closest with the wolf pack...the pack sticks together. The lady interviewing asked Bronson who his celebrity crush is and his response was Natalie Portman! Excellent taste my dear woflie friend :)

Could filming commence already?! I am soooooooo excited! I am ready for BTS pics...cast outings...AHHHH everything Twilight! I think I get more excited about the process of making the movie more than I get about the actual movie!

Rosalie?!?

Like many of you I have read the books and seen the movies of Twilight. I've never been a fan of Rosalie Hale. However, after reading and seeing Eclipse I realized I never took the time to see why she is the way she is. Sure, she has an attitude problem and seems to despise Bella greatly. Of course, she was raped, left in the street and Carlisle saved her. I'm really glad the writers of the movie decided to add the part where she talks about being "frozen and never moving forward." It would be nice to never age, be with your soul mate forever and never have to worry about getting cancer or any kind of sickness. However, you can't move forward with the company you work for and you can't stay in one place for several years. I wrote this as an example to show how sometimes we are too quick to judge people by the way they act or look. What is your opinion on the character Rosalie?

Now this the kind of news I like! Edward. Bella. Honeymoon. Feathers....O.M.G! I cannot wait! Nikki Reed confirmed filming in South America to HollywoodLife.com. Not just any filming people...we are talking about the most pivotal scene in the whole story! Must calm down. :)

There have been all sorts of rumors of filming locations such as Brazil, but nothing has been confirmed until now...

“They are filming a few days [in South America], but I’m not there,” the 22-year-old actress confirmed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the LA premiere of her new film, Last Day of Summer, Sept. 22. “It’s Bella and Edward’s honeymoon.”

In a few days? I just totally flash-backed to how I felt when New Kids on the Block were cool :) Mmmm wonder if Nikki is as jealous as Rosalie is? I know I am. Any woman that gets to film any love scenes with Robert Pattinson is the luckiest woman alive!

Amazon Japan Brings Us Eclipse LA Premiere DVD!

These guys think of everything! Amazon Japan has recently come out with a DVD from the Eclipse L.A. Premiere! There are tons of interviews with the cast, David Slade, fans and so much more! OK, so what I really meant to say was, tons of Rob and Kristen footage! Who doesn't love that?!

Breaking Dawn Will Not Be In 3-D!!!

It has been confirmed by a rep for Summit that Breaking Dawn (Part 1 or 2) will NOT be in 3-D! You know, I am not really sure about what all the hype is revolved around 3-D movies. I am so very glad to know that I will not have to see Isle of Esme in 3-D! Breaking Dawn doesn't really permit a 3-D movie... there is not enough action going on. Besides, who likes wearing those dorky glasses anyway. :)

GossipCop cracks the case yet again!

A rep for Summit tells Gossip Cop, “Neither film is being shot in 3D,” and calls the rumors “fabricated.”

And a source informs Gossip Cop that while 3D effects can be added during post-production (as they have with some recent releases), right now it is too premature to say whether either part of Breaking Dawn will be converted.

Jackson Rathbone Is Going Back To His Roots

The Hollywood Gossip spoke with Jackson about filming the last installment of The Twilight Saga. He seemed more than enthusiastic with the choice of director and the fact that one of the filming locations will be in his home state Louisiana. He is looking forward to working with Academy Award winner Bill Condon and maybe learning a thing or two along the way.

What are your thoughts on working with director Bill Condon? I’m extremely excited. I think we’re very blessed to have a director of his level being in this film. We’ve had such amazing directors and now we have an Academy Award winner directing the last two installments. It’s lovely because I get to learn something from each director. Their style and the way they run sets. One day when I pick up a script and start directing it myself, I’ll have a lot more to learn from. I’ll be able to use, or basically steal stuff from the directors I’ve worked with.

I would love the idea of Jackson directing for himself. He is such a unique individual and I would like to see a story told from his eyes. Although, I do prefer him in front of a camera versus stuck behind it :) He is just too pretty not to be seen.

Jackson also mentioned how great it will be to be filming parts of Breaking Dawn in Louisiana. All southern boys appreciate any chance to get to their roots (God, I love that). He told THG that he had loads of family there and looks forward to being in his realm.

How do you feel about filming in Louisiana? Louisiana is my home state. I’m from Texas to a certain degree, but my mother and my father were both born and raised in Louisiana. I get to see family, so that means real Louisiana home cooking, and there’s a very important aspect that we’re bringing a lot of work into Louisiana at a very difficult time for the state. It’s been one thing after the other and it hurts me that things are the way they are but hopefully we’ll be able to bring a little ray of sunshine, which is kind of funny since it’s a vampire film.

Hey Jackson, North Carolina could use a little sunshine too, I'm just saying. On a serious note, its pretty awesome that the cast is still so excited about the series. At first I was afraid they would get burnt out and treat it just like a "job", but these guys are so greatful for everything they have gained from Twilight. Most of that is in part to us die hard Twi-hards. We are the best fans EVER!

5 Scenes That Would Make 'BD' Rated R

We all know for a fact that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will be released with a PG-13 on November 18, 2011 but zimbio.com wrote up a list of five scenes in the novel that would give the film a R rating if (some) fans had their way.

Check out their list and let us know if there are any other scenes you think would give Breaking Dawn an R rating.

1. Breaking More Than Just Dawn

In the Twilight films so far we've watched Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart do little more than play footsy while the sexual tension just builds and builds. After a total of more than six hours of nothing but playful hints of sexuality, the audience needs the honeymoon scene almost as much as Bella and Edward do. Of course if they did show it, it would be very controversial, and not just for Rob's blindingly white naked torso.

In the book, Bella describes the aftermath of the couple's first night together.

I stared at my naked body in the full-length mirror behind the door.

I'd definitely had worse. There was a faint shadow across one of my cheekbones, and my lips were a little swollen, but other than that, my face was fine. The rest of me was decorated with patches of blue and purple."
Ch. 5, pg. 75

Bella also woke up covered in down feathers because Edward "bit a pillow. Or two." Of course the second time the two experience physical love there's not so much bruising, but it would definitely take things to the next level to see Robert Pattinson do the damage described in Chapter Six. After realizing her night gown has been torn to tatters, Bella assesses the rest of the damage.

"Were there any other casualties?" I asked timidly.

"I'll have to buy Esme a new bed frame," he confessed, glancing over his shoulder. I followed his gaze and was shocked to see that large chunks of wood had apparently been gouged from the left side of the headboard.
Ch. 6, pg. 109

2. Li'l Killers

In Breaking Dawn, we're introduced to the epically creepy/ awesome concept of vampire toddlers running around annihilating villages thanks to their unchecked thirst for human blood. Bella even has a dream where one little vampire toddler with a cherubic face sits on top of a mound of bodies that includes all her closest friends and family.

If nothing else, can we please get these blood-guzzling tykes in the DVD extras? Carlisle describes them early on in the book. 

"However, they could not be taught. They were frozen at whatever level of development they'd achieved before being bitten. Adorable two-year-olds with dimples and lisps that could destroy half a village in one of their tantrums. If they hungered, they fed, and no words of warning could restrain them. Humans saw them, stories circulated, fear spread like fire in dry brush..."
Ch. 2, pg. 34

3. The Birth Scene

More than anything else in Breaking Dawn, the birth scene is a tough sell in PG-13. It will be hard to get across just how painful Bella's birth and subsequent transformation are without showing at least a little of the extensive gore in chapters 17 and 18.

At the end of Chapter 17, Jacob describes the "ripping sound" he hears as Bella prepares to give birth. Things go downhill from there.
...Bella screamed.

It was not just a scream, it was a blood curdling shriek of agony. The horrifying sound cut off with a gurgle, and her eyes rolled back into her head. Her body twitched, arched in Rosalie's arms, and then Bella vomited a fountain of blood.
Ch. 17, pg. 347 

It's hard to get Kristen Stewart to go all Exorcist in PG-13, but it gets much worse as Jacob literally compares the amount of blood in the room to "a bucket being turned over, a faucet twisted to full."

And of course there's the actual delivery of the baby, which is only made possible by Edward's steely fangs. 

The next sound jolted through me, unexpected, terrifying. Like metal being shredded apart. (...) I glanced over to see Edward's face pressed against the bulge. Vampire teeth -- a surefire way to cut through vampire skin.
Ch. 18, pg.351-352

4. Bella Goes Hunting

OK, so you can definitely kill a mountain lion in PG-13, but to be faithful to the book, Kristen Stewart would really have to go after this thing. PETA would likely have words for her. 

My teeth unerringly sought his throat, and his instinctive resistance was pitifully feeble against my strength. (...)

It was effortless as biting into butter. My teeth were steel razors; they cut through the fur and fat and sinews like they weren't there.

The flavor was wrong, but the blood was hot and wet and it soothed the ragged, itching thirst as I drank in an eager rush. The cat's struggles grew more and more feeble, and his screams choked off with a gurgle.
Ch. 21, pg. 422

5. Strange Love

Stephenie Meyer leaves some wiggle room as to what exactly it means for a werewolf to "imprint" on someone. But there's no way around the fact that it's straight up creepy when Jacob imprints on Bella and Edward's new-born daughter, Renesmee.

The whole thing is made even weirder (even at PG-13) when Edward basically calls Jacob his future son-in-law near the end of the book, when Renesmee is at roughly the same maturity level as a seven-year-old. 

Edward leaned his head against the same shoulder where he'd placed Renesmee. "Goodbye, Jacob, my brother ... my son."

Info on 'Eclipse' DVD Plus Two Companion DVDs

Update: Summit has clarified with Twilight Lexicon about the content of the Eclipse DVD:

Verified w/Summit there won’t be massive differences as far as DVD content goes each retailer. They might change bundling not content. Bundling is when they give you a perk poster, film cel, trading card, etc. Packing might be slightly different too as in style of the box. But the actual stuff on the DVDs is the same. So no having to buy three versions to get everything!

At least we won't have to deal with that headache of trying to decide which one to buy just to get all that good content! :P

The official Twilight Saga Facebook page has posted complete details on the DVD/Blu-Ray release as well as information on two companion DVDs that will be released on the same day.

As we previously announced, the Eclipse DVD/Blu-Ray will hit shelves on December 4th. Here are the special features included on both formats:

Today is September 13th, is Bella Swan's human birthday and she would be turning 23! Instead she will remain forever frozen at 18...Edward likes them older women :) I have a seriously dumb question...wouldn't you hate to be stuck at 18?
