'Twilight' Did You Knows

Hey there Twilight fans, it's that time of the week where we give you some of the most interesting facts about our favorite books and movies. This week's facts are about some filming secrets you might not have known about!

Did you know....

1. During the filming of Bella's birthday party in New Moon, Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) got so into character, that both Peter Facinelli (Carlisle) and Kellen Lutz (Emmett) had to hold him back. During one of the takes, Elizabeth Reaser (Esme) was knocked to the ground.

2. Ashley Greene (Alice) wore a different wig in New Moon than she wore in Twilight. She also cut her hair quite short so that it could fit under the wig.

3. Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria in Twilight and New Moon) was fired by Summit Entertainment from Eclipse, because her filming schedule overlapped with that of her other movie Barney's Version.

4. In the stories that Billy Black tells at the bonfire in Eclipse, the third wife was originally going to be played by Kristen Stewart. She did perform the scene, but the director, David Slade, and author, Stephenie Meyer thought it had an unintentional comical effect.

5. The scenes of Victoria building her "army" in Eclipse were based on the novella 'the Short Second Life of Bree Tanner,' written by Stephenie Meyer and distributed, in first draft form, to the cast.

6. Chris Weitz was so busy completing New Moon that he turned down the chance to direct Eclipse.

7. Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight, was set to be the director of New Moon but due to scheduling conflicts, she had to back out.

8. Actors of the wolf pack went through "wolf camp" together to get buff and bond with each other before filming New Moon.

9. The script for Twilight was finished in six weeks.

10. Kellan Lutz intended on keeping his natural curly hair for the role of Emmett Cullen, however, his previous role in Generation Kill required a buzz cut and his hair didn't grow fast enough for the filming of Twilight.

If there is one person in the media who can get the scoop on all the latest its Josh Horowitz. He has developed a cool relationship with the cast, especially Rob. And as we all know, Josh is a hard core Robsten shipper, which is why we love him so much!

Josh announced on his Twitter yesterday that he is going to airing an interview with the Twilight trio, Rob, Kris, and Taylor, next Thursday at 7:56pm! Of course there will be a never before seen clip from the movie. Ok how can there be anything else we haven't already seen?

Sibling Love: Rob & Ashley Touring For Breaking Dawn Promo

Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene have been in leaving their mark all over Europe this week. The two are promoting Breaking Dawn side by side, city after city. Question is, where is everyone else?

Rob and Ashley have been doing fan events in Brussels, Paris, and Sweden sans cast members. They have answered tons of questions and of course in normal Rob fashion...there has been word vomit all over the place. We know how he gets when he doesn't get enough sleep. How this boy been able to keep this relationship under wraps for as long as he has I don't know. He made a point to let fans know he is ENGLISH...THE ENGLISH BOYFRIEND that is! Ashley has been great also and she has looked absolutely flawless at every event. Its good to see some of the other cast members get some of the spotlight...especially Ashley, she is one of my faves!

Heavy promo will begin in the next few days as Rob, Kristen, and Taylor are all three set to be in LA for the hand/footprint ceremony. How great will it be to see our favorite couple finally together. Kristen has been working hard on Snow White and the Huntsman in England while Rob is out pimping their latest film. Hopefully the interviews with all of the cast will start to flow in before long.

Speaking of great interviews, as a Twi-hard and a Robsten shipper, I am heavily depending on the great and powerful Joshua Horowitz with MTV News to get a GRRRRRREAT interview with Rob, Kristen, & Taylor together :) We all know you are a Robsten shipper Josh...just admit it!

Brand New TV Spot w/New Scenes

First off I have to say that for as much trouble Summit went through to keep this film ultra top secret, they have pretty much showed the whole thing in clips here and there. With that being said, click play at your discretion because some folks actually do not want the film to be spoiled and other are like myself and just cannot resist temptation.

Here is a new Breaking Dawn TV spot that has come out and there are a few new scenes in this one including Aro deciding the Cullens have something he wants. He is sooooo creepy. And we also get a peek at some werewolf vs vampire action! And not to mention a shot of a shirtless Rob waiting for his lady in the moonlit water. We all know what that means?! Brand New Vid of "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" Wedding Verison

As if this song could get any more amazing...it does! Ladies just grab the tissues and be ready for Breaking Dawn. Iron and Wine have re-made "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" just for the Breaking Dawn wedding.

Just to refresh your memories this was the first song Edward and Bella danced to in Twilight. All I can remember about that was how Kristen said this song just made her cry her eyes out and she knew it HAD to be in the film. What a sweet way to tie up the old with the new.

VIDEO: "I'm Late" Brand New Breaking Dawn Clip

I had an internal debate about posting this because honestly I think Summit has let WAY too much out on Breaking Dawn. We all know we have the choice to look or not look but c'mon really? Who isn't going to look!

In this brand new clip, Bella discovers she is pregnant and Edward probably looks more human in this moment than he does the whole series. Deer in headlights! Wonder if that's how Rob would react if off-screen girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, discovered she was having a baby! Too funny!

Twilight premiere on FX network

Last night, October 26, 2011, FX network jumped aboard the Twilight train and premiered the first installment of the series for the first time.  Sources say that FX bought the rights to the world premiere of the Twilight Saga from Summit Entertainment.  The second installment, New Moon, will be premiered in late 2012 and Eclipse in early 2013.  I don't know about you, but knowing that these movies will be out there for even more people to watch makes me super happy! Go FX!

BD BOOK TO MOVIE: NEW BELLA

So here's a recap:  Bella and Edward are married, they have consummated their union, Bella became rapidly pregnant and after around a month, gave birth to a baby girl.  Bella's life now hangs in the balance as Edward, after delivering their baby, injected vampire venom into Bella's heart to keep her from dying.  I like the way the previews give you a little bit of the way this part was filmed:  from Bella's perspective.  All the faces that surround Bella as she is struggling to give birth as well as stay alive.  Considering this movie is rated PG-13, I guess this is the best way to keep from freaking out the younger audience members.  Although, I would appreciate the detail that the book gives, not only in this scene but the honeymoon scene too!

FYI:  Since I am not 100% sure where part 1 will end and part 2 will begin, I am covering the entire book in this series of posts...just to make sure everything is covered. 
                                                             
After giving birth, Bella's heart stopped beating for a bit.  Jacob, thinking she was dead, instantly felt the connection between Bella and himself break.  He had his mind made up:  he was going to kill the vampire demon that killed the love of his life.  Then something strange happened.  Jacob, through the tears and pain and loss for Bella as well as the anger and hatred towards the baby that took Bella's life, was now held to the planet by one thing:  Renesmee!  WOW!  What a twist to the story.  Bella and Jacob knew they were destined to be tied to one another in one way or another but this way is not what either of them had planned.

Meanwhile......upstairs, Bella was burning.  Trapped inside her body, fighting against the darkness that is closing in, fighting to keep her heart beating for Jacob, Edward, and now Renesmee.  She holds everything in and struggles to keep from screaming because she doesn't want to alarm or frighten Edward...so she continues to burn silently.  How this will be played on screen, I do not know.  Will Bella have a inner monologue so that we can hear how she is feeling inside?  Or will this part be lost altogether?  The book describes her pain in such a way that it has to somehow be brought to the screen. 

Two days later....Alice could see that Bella was about to wake so she gathers the Cullens around her bedside.  Bella can hear clearly now, she can sense things that she never could before.  She knows what she is now.  When Edward touches her for the first time, not feeling cold like before, she was alarmed.  She was immediately in a defensive crouch.  Bella has this overwhelming sense of control.  She can control what she is doing more than any other newborn vampire before her.  The Cullens do not understand it.  Edward is impressed.  Jasper of course is taken back because he is anticipating her breaking point at any second.  How many minutes of the movie will focus on the new Bella?  I want to feel like I am in that room when Bella wakes.  I want to feel the red eyes burning into me.  I want to feel the insecurity of her washing away.  I want to see the love and adoration that Edward feels toward her now that she is unbreakable.  Most importantly, I want to feel the satisfaction that Bella does as she realizes that the emotions she feared that would be lost in this new life are still there and stronger than ever. 

Now the new, stronger Bella has to control more than her emotions, she has to control her instincts as well as her physical strength!  She can hurt Edward now.  How different this is going to be.  After controlling herself after a long and passionate kiss from Edward, Bella wants to see her daughter.  The Cullens make Bella more nervous by telling her how they expect she will be.  She doesn't feel that way at all.  She feels she can control herself.  But just in case, she decides to hunt with Edward before seeing Renesmee.  This part should be interesting to see on screen!  Bella the vampire hunting for the first time.  I do hope this is not lost.  Lots of time needs to be put into the new Bella.

Christina Perri Releases Video for "A Thousand Years"

As far as the soundtrack goes, this song is hands down my favorite. Who thought that someone could capture Edward and Bella so well through song? Only a true Twi-hard could make a song this beautiful and fitting. VH1 released the video for "A Thousand Years" which will be featured in Breaking Dawn Part 1.

Christina has been very vocal about her love for Twilight. It was said that she recorded this song on August 13th, the day Edward and Bella get married. So I wonder if this will be in the wedding? It has to...it totally fits. Check out the video below.

'Twilight' Did You Knows

Hi Twilight fans, the countdown is getting closer and closer to one of our favorite days...November 18th! In the spirit of all things awesome this weeks "Did You Knows?" are all about Bella's/Kristen's Leading man, Edward/Robert Pattinson!

Did you know...

1. Up until he was 12, Robert's sisters, Lizzie and Victoria, dressed him up as a girl and introduced him as Claudia.

2. For the role of Edward Cullen, Robert Flew from England to director, Catherine Hardwicke's house to audition. There, he and Kristen Stewart rehearsed the "Love Scene"/"Meadow Scene" on Hardwicke's own bed!

3. Meyer started writing a companion book to Twlight, one that would tell the book's story from Edward's perspective instead of Bella's called Midnight Sun.

4. Robert refused to let his eyebrows be plucked/waxed for Eclipse as they had been in the previous two films.

5. Pattinson learned to drive in a ten hour crash course on the set of Twilight.

6. Robert is a distant relative of Vlad the Impaler who Bram Stoker's Dracula was based on (coincidence? I think not!)

7. Rob adopted a puppy from a shelter in Louisiana where he was living while filming Breaking Dawn Part 1 & 2. He named the puppy Bear.

8. Pattinson invited an obsessive fan out for dinner when he was having a bad day.

9. In addition to Robert composing and performing some of the music for Twilight, his sister sings on the soundtrack as well.'

10. In the scene in Twlight, where Rob and Kristen jump out of his bedroom window to the tree, Catherine Hardwicke wrote a bunch of lines for him Rob to choose from...he chose "You better hold on, spider monkey!"

What's better than Rob with a beard? Rob with a goatee! WOWZA! Rob was looking smoking hott today at the fan even in Paris that him and Ashley Greene attended. Breaking Dawn promo has now kicked off! Let the goodness begin!

Ashley and Rob answered questions about filming and fans...you know same ole same ole, but we never get tired of seeing them. They both looked fabulous. Its so funny to see Rob now compared to how he was dressed during the promo of Twilight. Anyone remember that dreadful WAY too tight suit he wore for the premiere? I must say...the man cleans up nicely.

Sweden fans Brave Cold for 'Breaking Dawn' Event

Fans in Sweden are bundled up and braving the cold to score tickets to a fan event of a lifetime-opportunity to see Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene next week. They have been in line for several days already. It was in the mid -30s °F.

Luckily, tickets are being distributed today, October 21st at 7am.

I would probably do the same thing to get a chance to meet Rob and Ashley!

RingCon with 'Breaking Dawn' Vampires and Wolf Pack

Bronson Pelletier (Jared/Wolf Pack), Alex Meraz (Paul/Wolf Pack), Bill Tangradi (Randall/Vampire nomad), Guri Weinberg (Stefan/Romanian Coven) and Patrick Brennan (Liam/Irish Coven) were at Ring Con in Bonn, Germany October 14th-16th.

SyFy was there for their interview with fans (Google translation)

"Right at the beginning of entertaining panels emphasize the three performers, that their roles in “Twilight” are probably the best thing that could happen to them, especially since none of them was previously familiar with the novels.

BD BOOK TO MOVIE: JACOB PART 2

                                                                                                                         
Jacob and Seth guard the Cullen land as wolves when suddenly, Leah joins as well, shocking both of them. The tension between Leah and Jacob led me to believe that there may be something there, but after reading more, of course I know that Jacob's heart belongs to one person. I do understand the reasoning behind Leah wanting to be free of watching and hearing every thought that Sam has for Emily and seeing it through other eyes. More information I hope will not be left out is the information about the chromosomal pairs. Humans have 23. Vampires have 25. Wolves have 24 (which makes sense because they are half human/half supernatural). Watching Bella drink, and enjoy, blood makes Jacob sick, but he stomaches it because it obviously makes Bella (and the baby) stronger. Eggs and blood...what a diet Bella has!
Jacob, exhausted as he is, leaves Bella because she is looking better every minute due to the newfound nutrition she and the baby are getting.  Once he phases, he sees that there are wolves from Sam's pack coming toward them.  The three from Jake's pack brace themselves for a fight, when they figure out they are coming slowly and are just trying to talk.  After talking to Jared in man form, they made some sort of treaty at least not to attack each other in the middle of the night.

I love to see the comfort Seth has with being around the vampires.  He reacts way differently to them than the rest of the wolves, or even humans for that matter.  He comes and goes from the Cullen house with ease, using their clothes and even eating their food.  It's amazing the generosity that the Cullens show towards the wolves.  They feel that they owe them, so I guess offering some food, clothes, and a place to sleep seems minimal. 

Now the Cullens need to hunt and get a fresh supply of blood for Bella and although it makes Jacob sick at the thought, he is willing to patrol the woods to make sure it is safe for them.  The countdown begins....4 days.  Bella has 4 days to live, either permanantly or just as a human.  Jacob's days are numbered with her.  He feels it.  (Come on Taylor...pull this one off!  I have to say that in previous scenes, I have doubted his acting a bit)  Next, Edward discovers he can hear the baby's thoughts.  It loves Bella.  Jacob is distraught because Edward was supposed to be on his side and now he has crossed over to the dark side.  He loves the baby as Bella does now.  TOO MUCH....Jacob can't take anymore.  Jacob bolts from the house, leaving in a beautiful car.  He goes, searching, for something, someone.  He is tired of hurting.  After an afternoon of nothing, finding no one, Jacob returns to find that Leah lit into Bella about hurting Jacob.  That is when I started thinking there was more to the Leah/Jacob connection than just being wolves.  Edward also asks Jacob a favor...a truce.  Now that he can understand the baby and hear its thoughts, he believes Bella has a chance of survival.  He asks Jacob, as the true Alpha, to understand if they have to change her to save her.  Jacob is torn.  He finally gives in to  save her because he loves her.  Bella drops her cup of blood and bends over to get it, uh oh!  It's baby time!  I can only imagine what's going to go on in this scene in the movie.  I cannot wait.  All of the anticipation of the first part of the book led up to this....will Bella survive?  Will the baby survive?  What will the baby be?

My thoughts about this....I just want the movie to depict the details that would make the viewer (that has never read the book) just as informed and interested in what's happening as someone who has read the book a thousand times.  This is where Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows fell short for me because I did read that book as well.  There were soooo many parts of the book that were completely left out.  To the nonreader, I guess the movie was not a letdown but for me, it was a total flop.  It left out so many key points that made the book great.  Same thing here.  That is my biggest fear.  I want these details that I described above to be in the movie.  Now I know that they cannot all be in there, but at least some of the little details should be included.  People do not really understand how important an actual book is.  Movies are great, but books give way more detail and information that movies cannot capture.  If you haven't read these books already, PLEASE PLEASE read them.  You will understand the movie and feel a deeper connection to each of the characters if you do.

New 'Breaking Dawn' Footage From Yahoo!

Holy Edward! Ok so I apologize to Summit for ever saying they leave us in the dark. Now I'm afraid they are showing us too much! AHHHH but you just can't stop watching it! Yahoo! released some freaking fabulous brand new Breaking Dawn footage yesterday.

The wedding of the year is only 30 days away and Summit gave us a little sneak peek inside. I absolutely adore the way they used the quotes straight from the book. From the book to the mouth of Robert Pattinson is sheer heaven.

Ashley Greene: Allure Magazine

Ashley Greene is looking stunning in these preview photos of her Allure Magazine photo shoot! Now the only thing I'm hoping is that they don't Photoshop too much like they did in my recent posting regarding Kristen Stewart!

“It’s a double-edged sword,” Ashley Greene says about her Twilight fame—and the tabloid coverage that comes with it. “It’s amazing to be known, and it’s great that there is this audience that wants to know about me. But I’m like, ‘I’m going to be known for coming out of the gym rather than [for] what film I have coming out.’” Here, Greene poses in a Zac Posen dress. She showed her sweet side when capturing this shot: She said, “I’m so sorry!” to the male model after each time she tossed the water at him.

Greene talks about the Twilight cast as if they were a second family, and about Robert Pattinson as if he were an awkward brother. “Rob. Oh, Rob. He’s very endearing, but you’ve seen his interviews. He’s like, ‘Ah, I don’t know…. Oh, God,’” Greene bumbles in imitation. Despite poking a little fun at him, she credits Pattinson (she calls him a “phenomenal actor”) and the rest of the actors for helping her cope with sudden fame. “All of us essentially were unknown. So everyone kind of went through this crazy whirlwind [together],’” Greene says. “It was really nice to be able to confide in people who were going through the exact same thing.”

Hey Twi-hards! We have been keeping you updated on all things "Twilight Convention!" So here are the official details you will need if you had plans on attending the convention in Los Angeles, CA November 4-6, 2011! I'm getting super excited...Are you?

"Los Angeles, CA October 17, 2011 – As the excitement builds towards the release of Summit Entertainment’s fourth installment in the epic TWILIGHT SAGA film franchise, the stars will be joining fans in celebration at The Official THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 Convention taking place November 4-6, 2011 at The Los Angeles Hyatt Regency Century City.

This special one-time only event will feature live appearances of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner who portray Edward, Bella and Jacob, the three stars at the heart of Summit Entertainment’s film phenomenon. In addition, fellow cast members Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Julia Jones, and Booboo Stewart will also make appearances throughout the three day event.

As the countdown continues towards the North American release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 on November 18th, the convention offers fans the opportunity to see 15 of their favorite TWILIGHT SAGA stars in uniquely interactive live presentations on stage.

Congrats To Nikki Reed & Paul McDonald!

Rosalie will finally get her happily ever after. Twilight star, Nikki Reed, tied the knot yesterday with American Idol's, Paul McDonald. The two met back in last year and fell head over heels with one another and quickly announced their engagement.

The two were said to be married at a small ranch in Malibu. No news yet on if any of the 100 guests were Twilight cast members or not. Wonder if Michael Oregano was in attendance...so sorry...I had to throw that in there.

Anyway, everyone from TwilightBlog would love to congratulate Nikki and Paul and wish them all the happiness in the world!

Hi Twi-hards! As promised, the "Did You Knows" are getting juicier and juicier as we get closer to the big premiere day! This weeks "Did You Knows" are all about the Twilight Saga!

Did you know...

1. More than 3000 actors auditioned for the role of Edward Cullen. Author Stephenie Meyer's first choices was The Tudors star Henry Cavill, but by the time shooting began, he was too old for the role, at 24.

2. Kristen Stewart has had to wear contacts during filming - her naturally green eyes didn't match Bella's brown ones. (However, in the rainy Jacob/Bella break-up scene in New Moon, they had to be altered in post production because the heavy rain meant she couldn't wear her contacts).
